Robert Kozak, CPA, is a principal and senior audit professional with more than 40 years of experience providing audit and assurance services to nonprofit organizations, affordable housing entities, and real estate organizations subject to federal and state regulatory requirements.
His background includes five years with a national public accounting firm’s audit department as well as leadership of the audit practice at a large regional firm. Bob specializes in financial statement audits, compliance audits, and Single Audits performed under Uniform Guidance for organizations receiving federal funding.
Bob has extensive experience auditing projects regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA), and other state housing and regulatory agencies.
He also works with affordable housing developments that receive Low Income Housing Tax Credits under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code, helping organizations maintain compliance with complex federal and state reporting requirements.
In addition, Bob has worked with numerous federal financial assistance programs and Community Development Block Grant programs, providing audit and compliance support that helps organizations maintain strong financial oversight and regulatory compliance.
