Community Outreach
A Dedication to Our Community
Businesses that contribute to local charities are ones that do their part to create a better world. Businesses should do whatever they can to give back to the community and make a difference. As a company, we are committed to improving the world around us, and we make it a priority to give back in numerous ways throughout the year.
Our team members participate in, lead, and support a broad range of community, civic, and educational organizations. Below are some of the events and activities that Rubino supports through volunteer efforts, board service, direct support, and pro bono services.
Volunteer Days
We support all of our employees in their charitable efforts by offering up to three paid volunteer days to groups of staff members per year who are interested in rallying around a common cause. Not only does this build our team, but by combining their abilities, they also make a positive impact on the community.
Professional Workshops and Training for the Nonprofit Community
Every year, we offer hundreds of hours of pro bono training and workshops to the nonprofit community. Our goal is to help CEOs, project managers, board members, and volunteers in accounting policies and procedures, financial management, governance, and maintaining compliance with federal grants and contracts. These workshops help improve financial acumen so that they can make better decisions over the course of their work.
Nonprofit Board Participation
Our team donates thousands of hours of pro bono work and accounting services to a diverse group of nonprofit organizations. Many of our staff sit on nonprofit boards to use their leadership skills, while others volunteer for an organization at events or through committees.
The Greater Washington Society of CPAs
Rubino is very active in this local professional accounting association. Our partners and senior leadership have chaired numerous GWSCPA committees, including the nonprofit symposium and the training academy.
Beyond our leadership, we have provided hundreds of hours of in-kind support to the GWSCPA’s education foundation through our creation of the Nonprofit Accounting Basics website. Our employees continue to support Nonprofit Accounting Basics through submitting articles and other informative content regularly.
At Rubino, we add value. The same care and attention we put into serving our community goes into every partnership. Reach out to us today, and let’s build together.
