J. Michael Stephens, CPA
I work closely with my clients to provide a practical, understandable approach to the audit process to ensure that we not only provide them with audited financial statements, but that they learn something from the engagement that can help them in the operation of their organization.
Mike is a shareholder of Rubino & Company and serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He has been in the accounting profession since 1985.
With more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, Mike has been involved with a broad spectrum of industries, including governmental, quasi-governmental, and nonprofit organizations with a specialty in the public housing industry. This experience provides him with unique perspectives and insight into all aspects of the financial well-being of his clients. Throughout his career, Mike has developed extensive in-depth knowledge and experience in nonprofit and state and local government audit and accounting services. Mike is also well-versed in audits in accordance with the Uniform Guidance, and has managed, planned, and performed compliance audits for a variety of public sector organizations.
